What is the difference between 316L and 904L flue?

Which liner to choose? The difference is purely one of quality. The 904 grade is a higher grade of stainless steel suitable for Smokeless fuels then the 316 grade and is less likely over time to corrode from the inside.

316 Grade Flexi Liner

Suitable for Wood Burning only, many suppliers now are voiding any warranty if Smokeless fuel is used with a 316-grade flue liner. A life time warranty is given when burning wood only.

904 Grade Flexi Liner

Suitable for Wood Burning and Smokeless Fuel many suppliers are offering a 15 year to lifetime warranty.

Regularly Sweeping of your Flue Liner

It is important that your flue is swept at least once a year and more often if the stove is used regularly throughout the year. If a sweep certificate is not kept for each year of use it will void the warranty.
